What is the standard price for the glass figurines?

The standard glass figurines, including the 12 Monthly Gemstone Cats and the Original Lucky Black Cat, are typically priced at £10.00 each. Other small items like the January Lucky Devil are £8.00.

How are online transactions processed?

All online sales are conducted in GB Pounds Sterling. The company reserves the right to decline bulk orders.

What is your general return/cancellation policy?

Customers may cancel an order within 7 working days of receiving the goods, according to the EU Distance Selling Directive. You must contact the company first and return the products unopened within this period.

Our products carry a no-fuss guarantee. If an item is faulty or damaged, you are entitled to return it for a full refund. Please contact us to arrange the return process.

Yes, we offers an Ashes Infusion Service to create a treasured memorial. A small trace of a loved one’s cremated ashes or fur is safely blended into the statue material.

How much material is required for the infusion service?

Only a small amount – specifically, one teaspoon – of the loved one’s ashes or fur is needed. A secure kit with shipping instructions is provided after the order is confirmed.

What is the size of the memorial cat?

The memorial cat is approximately 80mm tall.

Every figurine is handcrafted using the ancient Lampworking (flameworking) technique. This involves heating a solid glass rod to over $1500^{\circ}\text{C}$ and shaping the molten glass entirely by hand. No moulds or mass-production techniques are used, ensuring genuine authenticity.

What are the core values of the brand?

The brand is built on four core values: Craftsmanship, Creativity, Authenticity and Meaning (carrying the spirit of good fortune and cheer).

The shop is located at 34 Coney Street, York, YO1 9ND. The opening hours are everyday: 10 am – 5 pm.

The trail is a self-guided, whimsical city-wide hunt that involves finding over 30 historic cat statues placed on buildings around York. It is a family-friendly activity that mixes sightseeing with local history and folklore.

What is the historical significance of the statues?

Cat statues were placed on buildings for centuries to ward off rats and mice (plague) and to bestow good luck and good health on the citizens and owners of the property.

How long does the trail take?

The full, self-guided route is approximately 2.5 miles (4km) and typically takes about two hours at a gentle pace. A shorter, “pedestrian friendly” route of about 30 minutes is also available.
